Conferences & Events

The VACBP hosts three annual conferences where we will bring subject matter experts, senior officials at DMAS and DBHDS, policy leaders, MCO representatives and others to our members so they can learn, make connections, promote their agencies, pursue partnership opportunities, ask questions and share concerns.

Registration Thanks to all who participated in the VACBP's Fall Conference, which took place November 3-4, 2021. Sessions at the conferenced included:

MCO Panel Listening Session and Discussion, featuring representatives from the Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) and DMAS leadership.
2022 Legislative Session Priorities Panel, featuring leadership from the Virginia Network of Private Providers (VNPP), the Virginia Coalition of Private Provider Associations (VCOPPA), the Virginia Association of Health Plans (VAHP), the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association (VHHA), and Voices for Virginia's Children.
Behavioral Health in the Schools: Updates from VDOE, featuring Maribel Saimre, Director of the Office of Student Services, VDOE.
Multi-Systemic Therapy and Functional Family Therapy: What Providers Need to Know, featuring experts from the MST and FFT model developers for these services that are being implemented through Project BRAVO.
DBHDS Updates from the Commissioner, featuring DBHDS Commissioner Alison Land, who provided updates on the state hospitals, use of federal COVID-19 funding, workforce development strategies and investment, the Marcus Alert and comprehensive crisis services and an overview of 2022 legislative priorities.
DMAS Updates, including updates on Project BRAVO, the MCO Resolution Panel, and the status of the 12.5% rate increases.
Licensing Updates, featuring Jae Benz, Director of the Office of Licensing at DBHDS.
